Physical Attributes

Topography, Slope and Elevation
At the western portion of Cuyapo is Mt. Bankay with an elevation of 100m asl at its foot and of two (2) peaks measuring 406 asl and 315m asl, respectively. Farther east is Mt. Amorong (elevation data not available), while the town proper rests immediately south of Mt. Bulaylay with 100m asl elevation at its foot and has four (4) peaks the highest of which is 209m asl and the lowest is 86m asl. Next to Mt. Ataray to the north at the boundary of Nueva Ecija and Pangasinan is Mt. Balungao. These mountains account to the high elevation of Cuyapo. The elevation of the town proper is 31m asl. In the north, the elevation slopes upward from Barangay Villaflores (18m asl) to Barangay Paitan Norte (72m asl). In the east, the elevation slopes higher to Barangay Sta. Cruz (90m asl). In the south, the elevation falls to Barangay Sta. Cruz to Barangay Bibiclat (50m asl) to Barangay Malbeg (1m asl). In the west, the elevation falls from Barangay Villaflores to Barangay Malbeg. The general rain water run-off is from East to West and from North to South. The Municipality of Cuyapo is generally well-drained.

Climate
Cuyapo has pronounced dry and wet season. Dry season occurs during the months of December to June. The advent of the rainy season signals the approach of the wet season which is from July to November.
