The program is undertaken to protect children (ages 0-11 months) from the seven immunizable disease providing specific protection through the use of effective vaccine against tubercolosis, diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, poliomyelitis, measles and Hepatitis B and to protect pregnant women from tetanus by immunization.
